Albert J. Viltro, 91, of Wintersville, Ohio passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Bolger Country Club Manor.  He was born March 8, 1925 in Wintersville, OH a son of the late John and Isabella LaCamera Viltro.  Albert was a WW II Army Air Force veteran where he flew 33 missions over Germany as a ball turret gunner on a B-17.  He retired as a carpenter from Local U nion 186 of which he was a 50-year member.  Albert attended Brentwood United Methodist Church and was a member of Wintersville Boosters Club.  Albert loved the outdoors, looking for ginseng, berry picking, fishing and hunting.  He was an avid Wintersville Warriors, Indian Creek Redskins and Cincinnati Bearcats fan.  Albert’s grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of his life.  Preceding Albert in death were three sisters Mildred Veltri, Jenny Puzzole and Lucy Siegel and two brothers Sam and Frank Viltro.  Surviving are his wife of 68 years, whom he married July 22, 1948, Nila Marling Viltro; children Susan Viltro of Wintersville, OH, John (Carol) Viltro of Wintersville, OH and Cindi (Russ) Curry of Wintersville, OH; granddaughter whom he raised, Megan (fiancé Justin Baker) Viltro of Weirton, WV; two grandsons Zachary Viltro of Wintersville, OH and Lukas Viltro of Covington, KY; two great grandchildren Ava and Gia Baker both of Weirton, WV; sister Josephine Wszeborowski of Wintersville, OH; special neighbors Kevin (Carla) Sweeney and several beloved nieces and nephews.  Friends may call at Dunlope – Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville on Thursday from 3 p.m. until the time of service at 6 p.m.  Burial at Fort Steuben.
