Anthony Sagrilla Obituary

Anthony J. Sagrilla, 71, died suddenly at home in Williamsburg, VA, on the evening of December 25, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Virginia (Striner) Sagrilla and his brother, Roger Sagrilla.  Tony grew up in Piney Fork and graduated in the Class of “64” from Smithfield High School.  He Served in the Army during the Vietnam War; worked at Weirton Steel as a railroad engineer and then moved to Virginia in 1983 as the owner of a Stanley Steemer franchise.  He retired in 2010.  Tony leaves behind his wife, Marylou (Sink) Sagrilla; his son, Scott (Jamie) Sagrilla and his grandchildren, R.J. and Olivia, as well as his brother, Bob (Cindy) Sagrilla.  He also leaves nieces and nephews, Joe Sagrilla, Gina (Jon) Schumann, Travis (Colleen) Sagrilla, Trevor (Robin) Sink, Ryan (Jodi) Sink and Erin (Wes) Sink-Yun.  Friends are invited to attend a celebration of life service at the Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Saturday, March 10th at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Bill Westling officiating. Piney Fork American Legion, Post 735 will accord full military honors at the funeral home.  Those wishing to express condolences are asked to donate to the Piney Fork American Legion, Post 735, 1341 County Rd. 15, Ryland, OH 43943-7923  c/o Tony Phillippi or to a charity of your choice.

His big happy laugh will be missed by all.
