Welcome to the memorial page for

Ruth Ann Snider

July 14, 1929 ~ July 6, 2017 (age 87) 87 Years Old

Ruth Ann Snider, 87, of Wintersville, Ohio, was welcomed into heaven on July 6, 2017, after struggling valiantly with multiple medical problems. She was born on July 14, 1929; just eight days shy of her 88th birthday.

Ruth married the love of her life, Frank John Snider Sr. on February 27, 1948, but lost that love on May 3, 2008. They were married for 60 amazing years!

In addition to her husband, Ruth is preceded in death by her daughter, Clara Bissell; son, Frank Snider Jr.; granddaughter, Yvonne Baney as well as her parents, William and Dorothy Dibell Bubb, her brother, Jim Bubb and her sisters, Eleanor Lindsey, Norma Haswell, Jean Schlegel, Lillian Hall and Florence Bingle.

This dedicated mother of ten set the standard for working hard and helping others. Ruth was a woman of faith who remembered with a generous spirit, everyone's birthday and anniversary. Most important to her was time spent with her family and her two dogs, Sugar and Bubby. She was an outstanding cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family. She thoroughly enjoyed listening to her husband play the guitar and sing. She loved planting flowers in the spring and made the most of each day by working in her yard.

She leaves to cherish her memory seven daughters, Caroline McGarrity and Bethany Hickman both of Steubenville, OH, Kathy (Bruce) Myers, Pamela (Ed) Mangerie and Sharon (Roger) Baney - all of Ellwood City, PA, Mary (Drew) Ohorodnyk of Koppel, PA,  Ruth Walsh of Weirton, WV; one son Aaron Snider of Berlin, MD; her sister, Pat (Don) Schlegel, Ashtabula, OH and her brothers, William (Phyllis) Bubb, John (Barb) Bubb, Robert Bubb, and Paul Bubb all of Ellwood City, PA and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends who now reluctantly and sadly say good-bye and Godspeed to a beautiful human being and the queen of our hearts!

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given in her name to St. Mark Lutheran Church, 133 Lovers Lane, Steubenville, Ohio 43953.

Arrangements entrusted to Dunlope – Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville, Ohio.
