Anne C. Modock, 92, of Wintersville, Ohio, died Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Sienna Skilled Nursing, Wintersville. She was born in Windsor Heights, West Virginia on May 13, 1925 the daughter of the late Vasil and Mary Stefanak Krupyak. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Gene J. Modock and a sister Margaret Pavlov. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and a graduate of Smithfield High School. She retired from the former Hub Department Store as a salesperson and also worked in her early years at the Canella Quality Market Company’s Deli Department where she enjoyed making the daily sales signage. Among her hobbies, she especially enjoyed gardening. She is survived by her son Eugene Modock of Wintersville; niece Linda (Phillip) Heiman of Louisiana and nephew Andrew (Janet) Pavlov of New Alexandria, Ohio. Friends may call at the Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral Liturgy with mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Msgr. Kurt Kemo officiating. Entombment will follow at Fort Steuben. Vigil service 3:45 p.m. Sunday.
