She was a beloved wife, mother, nana, aunt, friend, and neighbor. She was a wonderful cook and their home provided a warm welcome for family and friends. She and Squire loved to travel and together visited 43 states and 12 countries.

She is a member of Triumph of the Cross Catholic Church. She graduated from the College of Steubenville with an associate’s degree and earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Steubenville. She retired as a reference librarian from the Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County.

She served her community at the area soup kitchen, was an active board member for the Neighborhood House, and participated in the Holy Rosary Catholic Women’s Club for many years.

She is survived by her loving husband, Walter A. “Squire” Wilson of 66 years, her children, Susan Trapp (William Michael), Stephen Wilson, Elaine Wright (Leonard), and Anita Prendergast (Peter), grandchildren, Laura Gawel (Steve), Sean Trapp (Jenna), Kevin Trapp (Katelyn), and Erin Marshall (Conner) and seven great grandchildren.

Her care was trusted to the wonderful staff at the Alzheimer’s unit (Golden Acres) at the Weirton Geriatric Center (Serra Manor). Words cannot express the love and compassion provided by all of the staff over the last five years.
