Daniel J. Henry

Daniel J. Henry,76, of Steubenville, Ohio passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was born in Steubenville on January 28, 1947, a son of the late Myles T. and Eleanor Palmer Henry. Preceding Daniel in death were his parents and brother Myles D. Henry.

Daniel graduated from Jefferson Union H.S. in 1965 and attended the College of Steubenville. He proudly served in the US Marine Corps during the Viet Nam War.

Daniel was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and Toronto American Legion Post 86. After 36 years of service, he retired from Weirton Steel as a cost accountant.

Daniel enjoyed gardening, fishing, boating, traveling and spending time with his family and friends.

Daniel is survived by his wife of 53 years, Kathleen McGrew Henry; two daughters Anne (Bud) DeCesare and Jessica (Jim) Breon; son Keith (Carissa) Henry; sister Karen L. Henry; five grandchildren Mavrick, Kaylee and Abigail DeCesare, Lindsey Breon and Finnlee Henry; nephews Justin and Brett Henry; nieces Laura Molter and Natalie Horine.

Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Thursday 3-6 p.m. Funeral liturgy with mass 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Family Church with Rev. Drake McCalister officiating. Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Vigil services 5:45 p.m. Thursday.
