Deon J. McGrew Obituary

Deon J. McGrew, 80, of Akron, Ohio, formerly of Unionport, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2021. She was born in Wheeling, WV on August 21, 1941 a daughter of the late James M. Marshall and Mary M. Price Marshall Slates. Deon retired from the housekeeping department at Trinity West. Preceding Deon in death were her husband Charles E. McGrew; infant son Timmy; two brothers James A. & Daniel N. Marshall; stepfather Oscar W. Slates and sisters Rose McGrew & Mary Louise White.

Deon is survived by her daughter Saylar McGrew with whom she resided; sons Bradley (Christine) McGrew of Cherry Valley, CA & Baxter (Kimberly) McGrew of Wintersville; six grandchildren Sterling McGrew, Ariel McGrew, Tyler Westfall, Samantha Westfall, Nolan Burchfield & Jesse McGrew; and two great grandchildren Cayden & Ava Ebb.

Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. Burial at Unionport Cemetery.
