Dr. Jane L. Howarth Obituary

Dr. Jane L. Howarth, 86, of Wintersville, Ohio passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 17, 2020 at Valley
Hospice with her family at her side. She was born November 22, 1933 in Osceola Mills, PA the daughter of
the late Floyd E. & Ruby E. Deats Lunger. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Questers, and
Garden Club. Jane loved her cat, Molly, playing bridge, and seeing her friends at Primetime. Jane retired as an
Associate Professor of Nursing from Franciscan University. She received both her B.S. and Doctorate degrees from the University of Pittsburgh and her Masters from the University of Dayton.

Preceding Jane in death was her husband Joseph E. "Joe" Howarth. Jane is
survived by her son Martin (Cynthia) Howarth of Steubenville; daughter Patricia Nice of Wintersville; six
grandchildren Zachary, Jacob, & Noah Howarth and Cody Jane, Chancellor, & Michael Strane. Due to
COVID-19 pandemic, private services will be held.
