Obituary
JoAnn M. Smith, 87, of Steubenville, Ohio passed away on August 7, 2023 at the Carriage Inn of Steubenville. JoAnn was born March 21, 1936 in Toronto, Ohio a daughter of the late William A. & Mercedes Taggart Smith. She worked for 39 years as a Ward helper at Ohio Valley Hospital in Steubenville, Ohio. JoAnn was a devoted member of the First Christian Church in Steubenville, Ohio. JoAnn loved to crochet and worked all year to make special items such as scarves, blankets and socks for all her loved ones at Christmas.
Along with her parents, JoAnn is preceded in death by an infant twin brother & sister; twin brothers Tom & Bill Smith and brother Johnny Smith; two sisters Martha Hilton & Juanita Reinhardt. She is survived by her brothers Ralph W. (Christine) Smith & Neil Richard (Kathy) Smith, many nieces and nephews & great nieces and nephews.
Private burial will be held at Toronto Union Cemetery in Toronto, Ohio.
